Dr. Gary Warburton
The course will cover the systematic evaluation and diagnosis of TMD, and provide the practitioner with the tools to identify patients who are surgical candidates.
During this course you will:

Gary Warburton, DDS, MD, FDSRCS, FACS serves as Interim Dean of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Prior to this appointment, he was Professor and Chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center and the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.
Dr. Warburton completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training in both the United Kingdom and the United States, including advanced training at the University of Maryland Medical Center and the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. He earned both his dental surgery and medical degrees from the University of Manchester, where he received numerous academic distinctions, including the prestigious Alpha Omega Prize for Clinical Excellence. He subsequently completed a Fellowship in Clinical Research at the National Institutes of Health and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the Faculty of
Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Internationally recognized for his expertise in temporomandibular joint surgery, maxillofacial trauma, and complex facial reconstructive surgery, Dr. Warburton is a sought-after educator, lecturer, and leader in the specialty.
Throughout his career, Dr. Warburton has demonstrated a collaborative and visionary leadership style, advancing initiatives that have strengthened clinical programs, expanded patient access, and enhanced academic excellence. His accomplishments include leading the development of new ambulatory surgical facilities, establishing innovative community partnerships to improve access to emergency dental care, expanding residency and fellowship training programs, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across dentistry and medicine, and advancing philanthropic initiatives to support education, research, and resident development.
