Beyond the Basics: Elevating Care with Innovation and Intention
Amanda Hill, BSDH, RDH, CDIPC
The days of “just a cleaning” are behind us. Today’s dental professionals are expected to go beyond the fundamentals to deliver care that reflects modern science, whole-body health, and patient expectations. But how do we rise above the standard of care we learned in school? And how do we bring our team—and our patients—along for the ride?
This interactive course explores how to move from routine to remarkable by embracing Dentistry 3.0, assessing emerging technologies, and mastering the art of co-diagnosis. Participants will learn how to confidently introduce new tools and treatment protocols, explain their benefits clearly, and create a culture where clinical excellence and team alignment support successful implementation.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Define the principles of Dentistry 3.0 and outline practical steps to engage the entire team in elevated care.
2. Explain how to use co-diagnosis strategies to improve patient understanding, trust, and treatment acceptance.
3. Evaluate innovative technologies that optimize patient outcomes and support modern dental practice.
4. Demonstrate effective communication techniques for gaining both patient and team buy-in when introducing new protocols or products.
